Choose your own adventure
I’m an aspiring narrative designer and interactive fiction writer. It’s no secret that I love video games, and being able to write and give players experiences like those I grew up on and fell in love with is a dream for me.
I have experience creating branching narratives, choice-driven games, and scripts that prioritize player immersion. Whether it’s a Twine project, a game jam entry, or a longer-form interactive piece, I write fiction that puts the reader in control without losing the thread of the story.
The Water Spirits of the East
A H.P.Lovecraft Interactive Fiction
My final creative project for my bachelor’s degree — an interactive fiction piece adapting the recurring themes, water deities, and cosmic imagery found across HP Lovecraft’s short stories into a single interconnected world.
Built in Twine, it was designed as an entry point into Lovecraft’s ideas for readers who wanted the atmosphere and themes without having to read the Necronomicon cover to cover.
What’s here
My go-to for building interactive fiction is Twine. It’s the perfect landscape for branching narrative scripts, quick game jam entries, choice-based storytelling, and HTML-embedded playable fiction. While this craft is a passion and something I am still developing and learning about, I’m always available for a chat or consultation on indie projects, worldbuilding, dialogue writing, and quest structure.
Narrative design is about more than writing good dialogue. It’s about understanding how players make decisions, how branching logic shapes experience, and how to tell a story that feels personal even when it’s being read by thousands of people differently. These projects are where I work that out.
